Beauty of Kyrgyzstan

Tour overview

Kyrgyzstan is a country of striking contrasts. This state is located in the northeast of Central Asia. It is located between two mountain systems - the Tien Shan in the north and the Pamir-Alai in the southwest. All of its territory lies above 400 m above sea level, more than half of it - at altitudes between 1,000 and 3,000 m, and one third of it goes beyond the 3,000 m mark. This wide range of altitudes determines the unique natural wealth of Kyrgyzstan, and the mountain snows and glaciers give birth to countless rivers that carry water to the valleys. Fascinating hiking trails through the most picturesque natural places of Kyrgyzstan await you. If you like the feeling of freedom and romance which you get when you travel in unknown places, if you want to enjoy nature far away from civilization, if you are not afraid of long hikes and nights in tents, combined trekking tour may be the best option for you.

1 Day . Bishkek-Sary-Chelek.v.Arkit
#

Route:
Meet our guide, who will be waiting for you at the hotel. We will be transferred to the village of Arkit, the headquarters of the Sary-Chelek reserve. We will be transferred through the mountain pass Too-Ashuu, which is one of the two automobile passes on the Kyrgyz ridge. The pass is remarkable for its steep serpentines and amazing views that open from it. The top point of the pass is at an altitude of 3,400 meters. We make a stop at the panorama and take pictures against the background of the Suusamyr valley. Besides the fact that the pass is a key part of the Bishkek-Osh highway that connects the north and the south of the country, there are many stories and legends associated with the pass. In ancient times the Too-Ashuu Pass was the most important pass of the Great Silk Road. Numerous caravans of camels loaded with goods passed it on their way to the West. We will drive through the picturesque Chychkan Gorge, which means "mouse" in Kyrgyz. Such a specific name was given to the gorge because of the abundance of field mice, which live in numerous burrows on its slopes. Let's stop at the Toktogul Reservoir, one of the largest reservoirs in Central Asia, which is located in the northern part of Jalal-Abad region. The history of the reservoir began in 1965, when its construction began. The reservoir has been under construction for more than 10 years, and now, looking at it, located among the mountains and hills, it is impossible to believe that it is a real man-made miracle. Lunch with a view of the reservoir, the views on the banks of the reservoir are quite impressive. The bright blue color of the water creates a striking contrast to the dried up clay hills around. After we continue our way along the Bishkek-Osh highway, on the way we will reach another Kurpsai hydroelectric power plant, the second largest in the country after the Toktogul hydroelectric power plant. In a few hours we will reach the finish point of our route, the village of Arkit. Upon arrival we will check-in at the guest house, have dinner and rest.

#

Route:
This day will be fully dedicated to the Sary-Chelek reserve - it is a mountain lake, the largest in the Western Tien Shan and is the basis of the 5 lakes reserve of the same name. Sary-Chelek is located in the western part of the Jalal-Abad region, in the foothills of the Chatkal range, at an altitude of 1940 meters. The Sary-Chelek lake is of the rubble type. The lake was formed about 10,000 years ago after a powerful earthquake that swamped the valley with the river flowing in it.Having had a hearty breakfast and packed lunch in lunch boxes we will head for the Sary-Chelek Reserve. The road will be picturesque, we will see fragrant flowering hills of the eastern foothills decorated with bright and unusual plant endemics. We will drive up to the lake, walk along the shore, take pictures, those who wish may swim in the lake. We will make a small trekking tour to several lakes that are located on the territory of the reserve. We will make a stop at the lake Iiri Kol, where we will have a picnic. After lunch we leave the lake and go up along the river of the same name to its confluence with the Makmal River. Walking along the river we enter Alpine meadows and then wide saddle of Makmal pass. Descent along Kurumdu river to Kara-Suu river valley, on arrival to the lake we will put up our tent camp.

Placement:
An overnight stay on the shore of a picturesque mountain lake will restore your strength after a long mountain hike. A variety of flowering plants and mild, warm climate of the area is favorable for the development of beekeeping. Centuries-old Tien Shan firs are reflected in the transparent surface of the lake, charming the eye.

3 Day. Kara Kamysh-Suusamyr
#

Route:
In the morning we wake up in a beautiful place, with birdsong and the sound of water. The lake is incredibly beautiful and is located in a very picturesque gorge. Kara-Kamysh (Kara-Suu) appeared as a result of an earthquake. In spite of the fact that from Kyrgyz language the lake is translated as "black water", it is striking with sky-blue color waters. Tien Shan firs, mountain ash, barberry, birch, honeysuckle, fruit trees, rose hips, and more grow in the vicinity. In the lake grows marinka, pelad, and other fish species. But it is forbidden to catch fish here, regardless of size and weight. But the main highlight is the stunning view from the shores of the lake on the mountain range of Min-Teke. Lunch on the lake shore and swimming in the lake in summer almost the whole territory of the valley, like an alpine meadow, is covered with a carpet of tall green grass. So it is no coincidence that the Suusamyr valley is famous for its pastures, some of the best in the whole country. On arrival in the valley we will be checked in at the glamping, dinner and e. Afterwards a trek to our cars awaits us. Once down we will drive to the Suusamyr Valley. In winter there are deep drifts of snow, sleep.

If you wish we can stop in the village of Kozhomkul - Kyrgyz strongman, bogatyr (baatyr). He was born in 1889 and died in 1955 at the age of 67. He was 2.3 meters tall and weighed 164 kilograms. "One day Kozhomkul was returning to his home in Susamyr. At the very pass a snowstorm hit, snow fell that the horse became. Kozhomkul lifted the horse on himself, carried it over the snow-covered pass, and then climbed on it and, as though nothing happened, went down to Susamyr valley". With his noble deeds and high-profile sporting achievements, Kojomkul has made himself famous for centuries. On the way you will have a chance to make beautiful pictures and video shooting. You will breathe in the fresh mountain air and enjoy the nature by driving over the Kara-Keche Pass along the steep bank of the turbulent Kokemeren River, one of the most beautiful rivers in the country, which flows through the Djumgal Valley. At an altitude of 2,800 m deep in the gorge is the Kara-Keche coal deposit. Coal is extracted there using the open-pit method and, it would seem, the quarry, foreign to the mountains, blends in quite well with the landscape. There is a small blue lake on one of the spurs of the quarry. The highest point of the gorge is Kara-Keche Pass, which is located at an altitude of 3348 meters. It offers an excellent view of both Son-Kul and the gorge.

Eagles and falcons were used long long before the advent of firearms and were in the status of a family member. Kyrgyz tribes have been using birds of prey since the 10th century A.D. and to this day have maintained this incredible tradition by passing it down from generation to generation. For the village of Bokonbaevo. Eagle hunting is a real ancient tradition. At the end of the mesmerizing show we will visit the canyon "Fairy Tale. Named the canyon so for its bizarre rocky landscape, which over the years has been transformed by the wind into fairy-tale sculptures and sculptural ensembles. Some parts of the "Fairy Tale" were given associative names for their resemblance to this or that image. For example, the mountain range in the canyon, was named "Chinese Wall" for its resemblance to a Chinese architectural monument. There are also statues of a hippopotamus, a snake, a sleeping giant, a dragon and entire castles. The gorge is one of the most popular attractions in the Issyk-Kul region. Jety-Oguz, in Kyrgyz, means "7 bulls". Such a specific name was given to the gorge because of the rock mass of red clay, which is a kind of visiting card of the gorge. The rocks have a very bright color, which is quite rare for the Tien Shan mountains. The gentle slopes in front of the rocks, densely overgrown with grass and coniferous trees and resembling a soft carpet from afar, add an extraordinary contrast to the gorge. Especially romantic looks the rock "Broken Heart", located at the entrance to the gorge. After walking around the gorge and making a wish at the Shattered Heart Rock we will continue our way to Karakol.
