New Year's Issyk-Kul

Route:
In the morning after breakfast we will be transferred to Karakol. On the way we will visit Burana Tower, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, which will take about an hour and a half, two hours to reach the tower. The city of Balasagyn where the Burana Tower now stands, existed till XIV-XV centuries. the former capital of Karakhanids. In the historical-archaeological complex you will be able to walk around the ancient settlement where you can see tombstones, ancient millstones and other subjects of domestic culture, climb up the tower and take great pictures. You'll also visit a small museum on the territory of the fortress. Leaving the historical complex we will have lunch in the Boom Gorge, which connects Issyk-Kul and Chui Oblast. After lunch on the way we will stop at Orto-Tokoy water reservoir - the first water reservoir built in Kyrgyzstan in 1956. Because of the beautiful winter patterns on the surface of the reservoir, it is often called the Kyrgyz Baikal. Next we will drive to Karakol along the northern shore of Issyk-Kul. Arrival in Karakol, check-in at the hotel, and welcoming the New Year!

Route:
The second day we will have a full program. After a hearty breakfast we will be transferred to the Karakol ski base. Karakol ski base is a ski resort unique in its natural conditions. The base is situated on the height of 2300 m above the sea level, on the slopes of Tian-Shan, among the majestic pine forests. You will have the opportunity to ski at the highest points of the ski base, and if you do not know how to ski, our ski and snowboard instructors will teach you the techniques of skiing. Karakol ski base has an excellent staff of highly qualified instructors. Or you can take a walk down the gorge, and have a great time enjoying the nature, admiring the snow-covered sights of Tien-Shan mountains and enjoying the real winter atmosphere of surrounding nature. You will be given time from 10:30 to 16:00. After the busy day we will have tasty dinner in Karakol, where we will taste the local cuisine. There is another very interesting place in Karakol with Ak-Suu thermal springs. Here we will have a chance to relax in nature, really feel our inner self and refresh our spiritual energy. After Relaxa, we will come to Karakol, we will finish the day with talking by the fire and playing games.

Route:
Breakfast. Departure to the ski resort. At the ski base you can ski at any altitude. The highest point of skiing is 3040 m. The altitude difference of 800 m, the minimum slope of 7%, the maximum slope of 53%. From the panoramic mountaintop there are views of the nearest 5000 m high mountains and the high-mountainous lake Issyk-Kul. After the active day we will go to Karakol and have dinner in the Dungan cuisine. We will have a mini master class on making laghman, after the culinary master class you will try the result of your own efforts - Dungan laghman! The dish is served with steamed bread, Madanur tea, and unique Dungan bran vinegar only made by Issyk-Kul Dungan people. After a hearty dinner, you can go skating and take a walk around the area.

Route:
Breakfast. Departure to Bishkek along the southern shore of Lake Issyk-Kul. On the way stop at the gorge Dzheti-Oguz. It is situated 60 km to the west of Karakol on the northern slopes of Terskey Ala-Too ridge in the gorge of the same name, 40 km long. Jety-Oguz Gorge is one of the most beautiful places of Kyrgyzstan. For almost 25 km on both sides of the gorge grows Tianshan fir trees, first in picturesque groups and then as solid forest massifs. After the walk we will have lunch with the local family and continue to our next point is the Barskoon Gorge, along the road through Barskoon Gorge there are some unusual monuments - a Soviet truck on a platform and a bust of the first cosmonaut Yuri Gagarin, who rested on the southern shore of Issyk-Kul after his flight into space. After the walk we will continue our way to the gorge "Fairy Tale" which is almost at once opens in its splendor and from every side the visitor who got to the "Fairy Tale" is surrounded by scenery created by nature itself and frozen in queer forms colored rocks as if after eruption. Plates of hard limestone and sandstone bulge out of colored soil, in some places resembling the ruins of ancient castles. The most amazing thing is that the architect and sculptor of this place is nature itself, using the water, sun and wind as tools. After the walk through the gorges we will be transferred to Bishkek.
