2 Day. Bishkek- South Shore of Issyk Kul
#

Route:
You start your day with breakfast at the hotel, after which you leave for the South shore of Issyk-Kul. On the way we will visit the Burana Tower, where we will have a short tour of the historical. Burana Tower is an architectural monument famous for its interesting history. Scientists believe that in this place once stood the medieval capital city Balasagun, belonging to a large and powerful Turkic feudal Karakhanidskoy Empire (X-XII centuries). Located on the Silk Road, the city developed and was considered one of the richest Central Asian settlements. In XIII century Balasagun was conquered by the Mongols, and two centuries later it completely disappeared from the face of the earth. Only Burana tower, ruins of the fortress and defensive structures remained of its former greatness. During the excavations the remains of water pipes, luxury items and other evidence of the former greatness of the Karakhanid city were found. There are elements of a palace and ruins of two mausoleums near the minaret. Then we will continue our trip to the canyons of Kok Moinok, where we will walk through the picturesque places, enjoy the beauty of nature and take beautiful pictures. After that we will be transferred to the southern shore of Issyk-Kul, where we will spend the rest of the day. Upon arrival, a fascinating shyrdak show awaits us, where we will learn more about the culture and traditions of Kyrgyzstan. We will also be able to spend free time on the shore of the lake, enjoying the view of the mountains and crystal clear water. The length of the cliffs is 37 kilometers, and the landscape of the gorge was formed thanks to the river of the same name. Huge dark green forests spread across the mountain slopes of red sandstone, creating an amazing color contrast. Forest massifs on both sides of the gorge stretch for almost 25 km, with small picturesque groups of Tien Shan spruces occurring here before forming into forests. Above the forest zone (about 3000 m), in the valley, about 15 km wide, there are magnificent subalpine and alpine meadows - jailoo. And in the spring and summer months there is a real festival of flowers in the Djety-Oguz Gorge, among which the silvery stars of edelweiss, alpine daisies and asters, elecampane stand out.
