Route:
After breakfast we will have a walk in the Arslanbap walnut forest. Arstanbap is a large walnut forest located in the mountains of the Fergana and Chatkal ranges, in Jalal-Abad region, at an altitude of 1,700 meters. It is the largest walnut forest in the world and one of the most amazing places in Kyrgyzstan. The Arslanbob forest is a natural forest that originated in ancient times. Scientists claim that it may be more than 50 million years old. In the village of Arslanbob you can find the Arslanbob Mazar, which dates back to the 16th century. It is believed that a Muslim saint is buried there, who is considered to be a kind of "gardener" of the place. We also have a short trek to the waterfall and the panorama. We will take a tour of the store where they sell quality organic forest products. In the pavilion called "Manas Ata" you can find nut oil, apples, dried alycha, mushrooms, as well as various useful herbs. After a useful tour and tasting we will go to the Sary-Chelek nature reserve. Sary-Chelek is a mountain lake, the largest in the Western Tien Shan and is the base of the 5 lakes reserve of the same name. It is located in the western part of the Jalal-Abad region, in the foothills of the Chatkal range, at an altitude of 1940 meters. The Sary-Chelek lake is of the rubble type. The lake was formed about 10,000 years ago after a powerful earthquake that swamped the valley with the river flowing in it. The first thing that catches your eye at Sary-Chelek is the amazing clarity of the water. This is a great rarity for the lakes of Tien Shan - usually in the mountain lakes water is opaque due to the large number of mineral impurities. Sary-Chelek is an exception. Sary-Chelek is the second deepest lake in Kyrgyzstan and the third deepest in Central Asia. Its depth in some places reaches 234 meters and because of that even in summer the lake is not heated more than 20 degrees, and in winter it barely has time to cool down to 0. Arrival in the village of Arkyt, accommodation in a guest house, delicious national dinner.

5 day. Suusamyr
#

Route:
In the morning of the fifth day we will continue our way along the Bishkek-Osh highway to the Suusamyr valley. On the way we will reach the water pearl of Kyrgyzstan - Toktogul Reservoir. It is located on the Naryn River and is not only the largest in the country, but also in the whole Central Asia. The Toktogul Reservoir is unique, it has two most powerful hydroelectric power stations - Toktogul and Kurpsai. Construction of the reservoir lasted for ten years, in '73 began filling, and now it does not look like the work of human hands. Toktogul district is the cradle of creativity. A lot of Kyrgyz artists, poets and painters came from these places. And it is not surprising, because from the early age nature develops sense of beauty. The reservoir and the hydroelectric power station owes its name to Toktogul Satylganov, a great Kyrgyz poet-improviser, composer, musician and fighter for national independence. You can taste unbelievably tasty mountain fried trout or humpback salmon, drink tea and enjoy the view of the reservoir. Having tasted the fish we will drive through the narrow and picturesque gorge Chychkan, which means "mouse" in Kyrgyz. Such a specific name was given to the gorge because of the abundance of field mice that live in numerous burrows on its slopes. And the slopes of the gorge are covered with Tien Shan fir, wild juniper flowers and berries. Upon arrival in Suusamyr valley, we will settle down in one of the most ecologically clean kumys resort "Baitur". We will try mare's milk and kymyz. You will have a chance to see how mare's milk is produced and how Kymyz sour-milk drink is made of milk. We'll finish the day with a delicious dinner and a walk around the area.
