Our focus on environmental, social and economic responsibility includes working within the law on issues that are important to us and our stakeholders. We are committed to providing quality services to our guests, treating the environment with respect, providing a decent working environment for employees, suppliers and all parties involved.
Office:
The printing presses in our office are set to double-sided printing (or other paper saving modes) by default;
Buy only FSC-certified paper
For marketing promotions, use electronic methods more often, and produce all brochures and printed materials undated so they can be used longer.
Use more emails instead of printed documents.
We have purchased reusable utensils for employees in the office
Turn off equipment (computers, printers, air conditioning) when not in use, and put equipment in default power-saving mode
Switch lights off when no one is in the room - the security guard, who is on duty, is responsible for making sure everything is turned off.
All lights in our office are energy efficient.
Dont leave chargers plugged in without charging unit
Tours:
We do not offer tours that are harmful to people, animals, plants, natural resources, or that are socially and culturally unacceptable
During trips to natural areas, we refuse single-use plastic, and we do not leave garbage behind (we collect it and dispose of it safely at designated points)
We do not promote souvenirs containing endangered species of flora and fauna as stated in the CITES treaty and the IUCN Red List; or historical and archaeological artifacts (except as permitted by law)
Advise guests on standards of behavior during tours and activities with an emphasis on respect for local residents and communities, local culture, nature, and the environment
When planning tours, we take into account climate, tour terrain, loads and maximum time of use
Excursions involving animals:
We do not offer any tours involving wild animals in captivity, except for properly regulated activities in accordance with local, national and international laws;
Not related to companies that harvest, consume, exhibit, sell or trade wildlife species, except as part of a regulated activity that ensures that their use is sustainable and complies with local, national and international laws;
Think twice when arranging tours involving animals:
We choose experienced suppliers who comply with Kyrgyz regulations and laws, and who treat their animals responsibly and with care
We instruct tourists on how to behave with the animals in order to avoid any risks, under no circumstances do we accept tourists under the influence of alcohol or drugs
All of the animals that take part in our tours or shows are well fed and well cared for.
Special rules regarding horseback tours:
Selecting an experienced vendor and groom
Equipment - Checking the helmet for the hikers
Check the carrying capacity (man - up to 100-110 kg, parter up to 80 kg)
Distance - about 16 km a day, the operation - 6 hours in the mountains, on a straight track - 8 hours
Special rules regarding shows with birds of prey:
Do not use red-listed birds (falcons)
We check the availability of appropriate equipment (availability of a cap, etc.)
We dont take the birds away from their habitat
We follow the appropriate clothing for tourists (no hanging items in the clothes)
No drones should be used for filming
Guides and Tour Leaders
We exclusively hire locals as tour guides and provide a fair and safe working environment that supports and respects local communities.
When hiring guides, we respect decent pay and working conditions
We give specific tour instructions to all guides
All our guides know health and safety rules, how to provide first aid and what to do in case of emergency
We only hire qualified guides to accompany our guests, exactly when we visit sensitive cultural sites, heritage sites or environmentally sensitive places
Transportation:
All transportation used for tours is chosen according to the number of tourists and the achievement of the goal.
We meet all legal requirements of the Kyrgyz Republic (insurance, patents, etc.)
We monitor the safety and technical condition of the transport (and the availability of seat belts).
Monitor drivers driving time
We check the competence, experience and feedback of the drivers.
Monitor the comfort and cleanliness of the vehicle
Checking availability of first-aid and fire extinguisher kits and other necessary equipment
Follow safe driving habits and adherence to traffic regulations
Checking the availability of permits for border areas.
Choose the size and type of vehicle, depending on the size of the group
Optimizing of routes, so that the time in the vehicle does not take longer than necessary
Customers:
Customer well-being and satisfaction are very important to us.
Provide quality and truthful information about our products and services
We protect the privacy and confidentiality of our clients.
Informing clients even before their arrival on how to prepare for their visit to our country and specific tour
Motivate customers to visit local restaurants, stores and buy local souvenirs
We systematically evaluate our customers satisfaction and take measures to improve services and products, and in case of complaints we handle them and respond quickly.
Accommodation:
We choose our accommodation facilities according to company standards, tour specifics, budget and specifics of the tourist
All accommodations we cooperate with are owned by local people and 100% of our employees are from the local community
All our properties are in good technical condition and meet health and safety standards, for example all have first-aid and fire-fighting equipment
Food is always high-quality, fresh and - if possible - grown and produced in Kyrgyzstan; meat, vegetables and dairy products are bought from farmers who live close to the camps
Food and drinks:
Use locally produced food and beverages and promote as much local shopping as possible during tours and excursions.
Observe tourists dietary preferences (we will prepare meals according to dietary preferences and allergies, such as vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, lactose-free, etc.)
Minimize food waste, e.g., optimize portion sizes.
Minimizing water in individual disposable bottles - instead, we offer water from the big dispenser and ask our customers to use reusable bottles; no matter what, our water is always absolutely safe
We don't use disposable tableware when serving food in restaurants or on camping trips; we have reusable cups, mugs, plates, and utensils.
